Basketball, I grew up with it. The discipline in this game may be applicable to one’s life. My dad taught me how to play the game, in fact, he was a varsity player in his time. I was inspired by him. He wants me to achieve what he achieved way back then. The game of basketball thought me a lot of things, things that would help you be molded in to a better person. You really need to focus on that goal, the goal to win the championship, the goal to become the best. We played basketball last Saturday, and we only have seven players against a complete line up of twelve. I played without any practice for a long period of time. My mind wants to play and give all my best but my body won’t respond to it. We just played with all of our hearts and we just enjoyed the game. We managed to tie the score, but fatigue dominated our team. We ended up tired and exhausted but still, we did not quit. We were focused and we want to win. Last quarter of the ball game and our defense was already breached and our team collapsed. We lost that game, but we won a lot of new friends because that basketball league is all about fellowship, meeting new friends with the same passion, praising God and playing the game of basketball.

In life, we tend to forget that in order for you to attain your goal, you need to experience those toughest time which will make you say, ” I quit”, or ” I don’t deserve this”. But if you focus your self and put God a head of your self first,  these struggles would be far more easier than you think. God did not promise us a life that will be stress and problem free, but God assures us that He will give us protection and guidance throughout our struggles in life. Our everyday training with God is our boot camp, our battleground He is our coach, our mentor, our trainer. He will help us prepare for bigger challenges that we will face and make us ready to achieve our goals in life.
